About the DYC

The Dillon Yacht Club is located at the Dillon Marina on the East shore of Lake Dillon. Established in 1968, the club has approximately 200 members. DYC has an active history of competitive sailing and has produced a number of world-class sailors. The club has an excellent reputation for managing the largest sailing regatta in the Rocky Mountain West in often varying conditions. The club is also known for its on-shore activities and the occasional “roofies” from the roof top of the Tiki Bar.

The Dillon Yacht Club is situated within the Town of Dillon Colorado and is adjacent to many other family activities including a beautiful park, outdoor amphitheater, bike trails, dining, hotels, and shopping. The Club is just a short drive from other Summit County Colorado attractions and destinations like Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone, Silverthorne and a quick 70 mile drive from downtown Denver and its many attractions.

DYC's sailing programs focus on a balance of competitive sailing and family activities. The club is host to many local, regional and national one-design championships as well as a very active summer club series in a variety of fleets including Etchells, J80, J24, J22, Stars, Ensigns, and multiple PHRF divisions.

The DYC established the DYC Junior Sailing Program in 2002 in order to foster a strong local teaching and racing program for area youth development. In its third year of existence, the Junior Sailing Program is expanding rapidly and has quickly become a focal point for the DYC membership.
